Canto de las Aves Pampeanas I y II fueron, en principio, dos ediciones en cassette publicadas por la Editorial L.O.L.A (Literature of Latin America) cerca de 1990 en Argentina. Cada álbum forma parte de una serie de ocho publicaciones con relevamientos de cantos de aves de distintas regiones del país, realizados por el investigador en bioacústica Roberto Straneck entre principios de los 70s y fines de los 80s. Straneck (1946-2022) quien se dedicó intensamente al registro sonoro de aves, mamíferos, anfibios e insectos, fue el fundador del Laboratorio de Sonidos Naturales del Museo Argentino de Ciencias Naturales Bernardino Rivadavia en 1981. Por otra parte, ha colaborado con instituciones internacionales como el Laboratorio de Sonidos Naturales de la Universidad de Cornell en Nueva York, el Museo de Florida (EEUU), el Instituto Tecnológico de Zurich (Suiza) y con el BLOWS (British Library of Wildlife Sounds en Londres). The singing of the Pampas Birds I and II were, in principle, two cassette editions published by L.O.L.A. publishing house (Literature of Latin America) around 1990 in Argentina. Each album is part of a series of eight publications with surveys of the singing of birds from different regions of the country, carried out by bioacoustics researcher Roberto Straneck between the early 70s and late 80s. Straneck (1946-2022), who dedicated himself intensely to the sound recording of birds, mammals, amphibians and insects, was the founder of the Natural Sounds Laboratory of the Bernardino Rivadavia Argentine Museum of Natural Sciences in 1981. On the other hand, he has collaborated with international institutions such as the Natural Sounds Laboratory of Cornell University in New York, the Florida Museum (USA), the Zurich Institute of Technology (Switzerland) and with the BLOWS (British Library of Wildlife Sounds in London).
